Buying Process for UK Citizens
Since Brexit, UK citizens are no longer EU nationals when buying in Spain. This affects your legal status but not your right to purchase — you can still buy freely in Spain. The process takes 6–12 weeks from offer to completion.
Key steps: obtain an NIE (foreigner ID number), open a Spanish bank account, appoint an independent solicitor, sign a reservation agreement, pay deposit, and complete at a Spanish notary.
